About Performalise

AI makes building fast.
We make building right.

Performalise was born from a simple observation: every tool in the market helps teams track what they're doing. None of them help teams get better at it. We built the intelligence layer that changes that.

— Josef & Allison, Founders

Why we built this
"The most expensive mistake in software development has never changed: building the wrong thing, with a misaligned team, too late to course-correct."

We've worked with product and technology teams across the globe — as coaches, as product leaders, as executives. And across every engagement, every industry, every size of organisation, we kept seeing the same pattern.

Teams were working hard. Sprints were completing. Velocity was healthy. And somehow, every quarter, the same questions surfaced in the same uncomfortable review meetings: Why didn't the metrics move? Why didn't we know sooner? Why are we building things nobody asked for?

The tools weren't the problem. Every team we worked with had Jira, Azure DevOps, or some equivalent. They had retrospectives. They had OKRs. They had coaching. And yet the gap between strategy and execution kept reappearing — not because people weren't trying, but because the signals that would have helped were invisible until it was too late to act.

We built Performalise to close that gap. Not with another dashboard. Not with another workflow tool. With intelligence — the layer that sits above your existing tools and turns team behaviour into business outcomes, continuously and automatically.

That pattern isn't a process problem. It's a visibility problem. And we'd seen it too many times to ignore it.
Meet the founders

Built by people who've
lived your challenges.

Performalise wasn't created in a vacuum. It was built by leaders who spent years in high-performance environments — and who got frustrated watching brilliant teams operate without the intelligence they needed to succeed.

The people in those transformation kick-off rooms aren't cynical. They're the kind of people who still believe things can get better — and that takes real courage.

Somewhere around the fourth programme that quietly fell apart, it stopped feeling like a business problem and started feeling personal. Not because of the wasted budget — though that was real — but because of what it cost the people who gave everything to something that had no chance of sticking.

The moment that changed everything was a Scrum Master who told me she'd known something was wrong six weeks before the programme failed. She just had no way to make anyone listen. That sentence didn't leave me alone.

They deserved a system where the people closest to the work could always be heard — and acted on. That's what Performalise is.

On a motorcycle, you turn left by pushing the handlebar right. Feels completely wrong. Works every time. The teams that improved fastest weren't the ones who pushed harder — they were the ones who paused long enough to feel where they actually were.

Those pauses take courage, and they take data. Most teams had neither — not because they didn't care, but because nobody had given them the tools to see clearly.

Then one day I watched a sprint review where every metric was green. Velocity up. Burndown perfect. Three weeks later the product missed completely. All the data was there. None of it had become intelligence.

Data without intelligence isn't insight. It's noise with a dashboard. That's what Performalise changes.
Different worlds.
Same lesson.
One mastered automotive excellence in Munich. The other decoded transformation inside global institutions. Both kept hitting the same wall.
"Behind every programme that missed the mark, there were people who saw it coming and had no way to be heard. The gap between world-class outcomes and failure isn't ambition — it's whether those people have a system that listens."
— Josef & Allison, Founders of Performalise
The big idea
This isn't project management.
This is Product Development Intelligence.
AI copilots write code, generate PRDs, and automate testing. But they can't align a team. They can't build trust between a product manager and their stakeholders. They can't tell a CTO that three squads are heading for a collision two sprints from now. The gap isn't in the tools. It's in how teams actually work together.
"On average, large IT projects run 45 percent over budget and 7 percent over time, while delivering 56 percent less value than predicted."

Always-on AI coaching
Albert AI — your team's intelligence layer
Coaches every team, every sprint, around the clock. Your methods, amplified — not replaced. Human judgement stays exactly where it should be.
Earlier risk detection
Signals before surprises
Delivery risks, team health drops, and alignment drift detected weeks before they surface in a status report — when you can still act on them.
Compounding velocity gain
Improvement that compounds
Small improvements that never stop accumulating. Every sprint better than the last — baked into the system, not dependent on a one-off programme.
The AI moment
Building faster isn't the challenge.
Building right still is.

AI has collapsed the cost of writing software. It hasn't solved the question every leader is actually asking.

Every tool accelerates.
Performalise aligns.

By 2027, 80% of software engineering teams will use AI copilots. Code will be written faster. PRDs will be generated automatically. Tests will be written in seconds.

But the fundamental challenge remains: are teams building the right things, together, in a way that improves over time? That's not a code problem. It's a team intelligence problem. And it's exactly what Performalise solves.

We think of ourselves as the intelligence layer for the human side of product development — the part AI tooling doesn't touch.

The questions your teams are asking
Agile Coach
"Will AI replace coaches? Or can I use it to multiply my impact across teams I could never reach before?"
→ Performalise makes AI your amplifier, not your replacement.
Product Leader
"AI can generate PRDs in seconds. But who ensures we're building the right thing? That still needs a human with the right intelligence."
→ Performalise gives you the evidence to back every decision.
Senior Exec
"My teams are moving faster with AI. But are they actually getting better? Or just faster at building the wrong thing?"
→ Performalise makes that question answerable — with a number.
Our mission
Built for product teams
who want to get better, not just faster.
For product and technology leaders who need their teams to deliver value faster, more predictably, and with healthier cultures — Performalise is the AI-powered Product Development Intelligence platform that embeds continuous coaching, real-time analytics, and team voice into every sprint — so that leaders get early signals instead of late surprises, coaches scale their impact across every team, and product managers ship the right things with confidence.

Unlike project management tools that track what teams do, Performalise transforms how they work.

How we think
Six principles that shape
everything we build.
01
Intelligence, not just data
We don't surface numbers. We surface signals — the specific thing a leader needs to act on right now, before it becomes a problem. Data is raw material. Intelligence is what you do with it.
02
AI amplifies humans — it doesn't replace them
Albert AI handles the monitoring, the preparation, and the documentation. Human coaches, PMs, and executives make the judgements that matter. That division of labour is intentional and permanent.
03
In the flow, not on top of it
Performalise works within how teams already operate — Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, Agile Events, sprints. No new process. No extra meetings. Intelligence embedded in the work itself.
04
Improvement should compound
One-off coaching creates one-off results. Systems create compounding improvement. Every sprint's data makes the next sprint's coaching smarter — permanently, automatically, at scale.
05
Specificity over vagueness
We use real numbers (33% more successful sprints). We name real roles (Scrum Master, CPO). We describe real moments. Vague value propositions are for tools that don't have evidence. We have evidence.
06
Trust is earned through visibility
We believe leaders make better decisions when they have better signals. Performalise doesn't create bureaucracy or surveillance — it creates the transparency that builds genuine team trust.

What teams say
From the people doing the work.
The leadership team finally stopped asking 'when will it be done?' and started asking 'what should we prioritise next?' That shift changed everything.
